Mitochondria-targeting peptide in phase 3 for rare mitochondrial disease.
Mechanism
A tetrapeptide that binds cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane, basically trying to fix the wiring so the mitochondria make energy properly again. One of the few here in serious late-stage trials.
